Of all the films of Alfred Hitchcock - the most famous, the most terrible, the most neustarevshy, most innovative and most unique, despite countless attempts to replicate the success. True, during the life of the maestro no one dared to direct sequel - and only in the 80s there were three more "psychosis", and "Psycho III» was filmed actor Anthony Perkins, who almost for life was a kind of hostage to its role maniac Norman Bates. But in thousands of kinds of thrillers, chillers, suspense shocker yarnov and other newly formed genre, efforts to intimidate the audience with exactly Hitchcock techniques. It would seem, "Psychosis" was to grasp the fate of some outstanding paintings rastaskannyh, they say, the Human Resources and even the angle. A halo of glory around masterpieces often makes overly picky determine their real incorruptibility. But "Psycho" still captivates from the very first moment, holds enormous tension and scares to shudder.

Alfred Hitchcock keen sense of the internal mechanism of the creation of fear and, if experienced psychiatrist, knew secret nerve endings, which can touch to bring a state of uncontrollable psychosis genuine nightmare. Unlike many imitators, the "master of terror" was in charge of that breed fear deep within us, and not somewhere outside. Director makes us afraid, above all, their own assumptions, guesses, suspense, fantasy played out, he just terrible designing the original situation. Captive audience identifies with the young secretary Marion Crane, trapped at night in a secluded motel. His owner Norman Bates has a mystery that unravels with the heroine being in double jeopardy because her on suspicion of stealing money from the bank wanted by the police. And it was a nightmare, which is hidden in everyday reality, psychosis outwardly normal world - that's the main thing that people fear the tapes Hitchcock.

In the "psychosis" that feeling brought to the limit, to the edge of the border, for which - abyss of madness. And, accordingly, honed to perfection all the cinematic techniques, means of artistic expression, from the brilliant editing to depressing music Bernard Herrmann. Genuine innovation that formal search is always meaningful, "tied" in the story and accurately understood, yet continue to strongly influence and several decades later. And in the movie, as in the most technical form of art, famous creations, and even more so - with innovative delights, still remain difficult. To the "psychosis" may be a claim, so to speak, a thematic plan. But this film is still the undisputed masterpiece of cinematic professionalism, skillful game involving the audience in fear. Incidentally, he was also among the most cash in the long career of Hitchcock (budget of $ 0.8 million at the box office was surpassed forty times), and, now look to the U.S. for more than fifty million people.
