Review of Psycho (1960) by Peteoppel — 07 Nov 2021
This film comes close to being a four or even five-star film, but what keeps it from achieving that status is the Simon Oakland psychiatrist character. His oration is not only a complete waste of time, but it insults the intelligence of the rest of the film, preventing it from achieving true greatness.
If only his character and his scene had been cut.
