Review of P.S. I Love You (2007) by Andy D — 19 Aug 2010
At times a delightful and funny romantic comedy/drama, there's plenty of opportunity to both laugh and cry here.
The story is original, the soundtrack excellent, and the performances solid. Having said that, I still cant quite accept Gerard Butler as a Hollywood A-list actor, I've yet to see him successfully pull off any kind of foreign accent, and he needs to really nail a performance sooner rather than later to avoid being anything other than "that guy from 300 with the great abs". I thought Hilary Swank and Harry Connick Jr. were the best things about this movie...and is there anybody else out there who thought - as I did - that the character of William (Gerry's countryman and former best mate) was more than a little creepy and weird??!
