Laura Linney outshines the film, the cast, even herself sometimes. I was actually surprised an actress of her calibre would sign on to a film such a this, the plot goes nowhere, gives us nothing and is of no particular interest. P.S's problem seems to be its unwillingness to settle in a particular genre romantic comedy or drama, I personally would have liked it alot more if it just dealt with the drama.
Basically if your a fan of Linney you'll enjoy her role showcasing just her talents as for the film there's nothing new, nothing we haven't see before.
