Review of Prozac Nation (2003) by John W — 22 Nov 2005
This Girl's Life.
This movie was extremely cool and fun to watch. It was a story about a famous internet porn star who has a very busy and odd life. She takes care of her father while she makes porn flicks. It has boobs, snatches and intercourse. It has a little bit of a romantic touch. It also has a little bit of violence and some really memorable moments from James Woods who took on the role of her father, who has Parkinson's disease.
I loved this movie because it told a very nice story and it had some very good moments that made me feel happy and thoughtful. I liked the sex, it was steamy and the girl is just adorable. I really like her smile and her easy going attitude. I really wish I could be as level-headed as her. The movie does end on a positive beat, kind of, so it also wasn't some depressing movie.
I suggest this movie to people who want to think while watching boobies flop around on their TV screen. What a great combination.
Prozac Nation.
This was a rather moving movie. I had always planned to read the book, but the movie came out and I watched it instead. Don't call me illiterate, just call me lazy! Anyhow, the movie had Christina Ricci and it shows her boobs.
Oh, ok, it's also about the girl who wrote the book. She was a victim of manic depression and the movie focused on letting you witness the hell she was going through and the hell she was putting her friends and family through. Also, you get to see that drugs do not help manic depression!
I loved the movie but it was a bit of a downer. At least you get to see her boobs. Ain't boobs the coolest?
Alone in the Dark.
One day, a long time ago, aliens came to Earth. They picked pretty flowers for their spaceship's bathroom because the pretty flowers smelled like arizplackzits, a substance that resembles what we call Honey.
One morning the aliens found a mysterious purple flower that smelled like grapshitzin, also known as pigshit. One of the aliens looked to the sky and yelled 'I LOVE PANCAKES!' and then a hailstorm ensued. The stinging balls of hail were coated with cherry flavored kool-aid.
The aliens lived happily ever after. When I gave this stupid movie back to blockbuster, I also lived happily ever after. What in the hell was Tara Reid THINKING!?
