Review of Prozac Nation (2003) by D T — 08 Oct 2007
This is a perfect example of a film that had a lot going for it, but then fell short of expectations. Christina Ricci portrayed a girl suffering from an extreme case of depression and the fact that it was based on a memoir of the same name obviously gave her a lot to draw her character from.
It was a role I could definitely see her in and she did it well, but overall, I felt that the film dragged in places it should have picked up and the abrupt ending could have been reworked to give the audience more closure.
