Review of Prozac Nation (2003) by Chris F — 29 Nov 2011
Meet Elizabeth 'Lizzie' Wurtzel (Christina Ricci) a teenager, a Harvard student, a published article writer and a victim of depression. In "Prozac Nation" we follow her in the downwards spiral to depression and in her search for help she comes across prozac. Sure "Prozac Nation" can come off as being slow and dull, but with a subject matter as depression I don't really expect anything else. As for Christina Ricci, no one else could have pulled off the role of 'Lizzie' better than her, she is better than perfect. In the end worth checking out for Christina Ricci alone, but don't expect anything mindblowing.
On a related note: don't do prozac, it's more of a curse than a cure.
