Review of Provoked: A True Story (2007) by Cancelled U — 03 Feb 2008

Despite its very British, made-for-tv style, unglamourous editing, and weak supporting cast, this is an interesting and important story, and is honestly (if not subtly) told. Aishwarya delivers a sturdy performance, well outside her comfort zone.

Miranda Richardson is brilliant as always. But, I wish there had been more development of the abusive husband's character, rather than portraying him simply as a one-dimensional 'bad man'.
