Review of Protocols of Zion (2005) by J H — 08 Sep 2006
I have a pet interest in conspiracy theories. Not in the theories themselves, but rather the logical structure of their (fallacious) arguments and how they play on cognitive biases. This film explores a few anti-Semitic conspiracy theories as well as the reaction to the Passion of the Christ, largely through interviews with a range of people (from Muslims to White Supremacists to Evangelicals to both Zionist and Moderate Jews).
It offers minimal commentary (although Levin gets fired up a few points) and mostly just showcases its subject's views, including some of the most vile bigotry in America.
