Yay -- Jessica Yu caught my attention with her Henry Darger doc "In The Realms of The Unreal," and she comes through in spades with "Protagonist." The synopsis here sums it up well as far as the narrative is concerned.
Beyond that, this film inspires with each man's story of confused ideals, the conflict of beliefs vs. longings, and heartbreaking tales of hard won redemption and salvation. I shook my head several times and let out an audible "wow" now and again.
Wow! Very hopeful, very good. I love Yu.
