I get what the film's going for here (a western prospecting film mixed with sci-fi, hell even the guys dialogue is like an old prospector). But with a run time of 90 minutes it could have been condensed to 30-45 as that is how little goes on.
Boiled down to girl+dad land on planet to mine stuff. Meet two people, kill one, the other kills her dad. She then, out of nowhere teams up with her dad's killer. Then find the mercenaries at the dig site, realise they can't havest the stuff, kill the mercenaries and leave.
The only thing that saves the film is the strong visuals.
