A very decent film on the whole, it possesses aplenty the qualities I appreciate very much - verisimilitude of action and an accurate tracing of a relationships' development. Crowe's acting was above his normal performance, Ryan could have invested more effort.
However, a little venom bitters much sweet: in this case, it was the clichéd-laden Latin American setting. Yes, post-Soviet countries, Africa and Latin America can serve ready examples of "the West's" fears and complexes, but this film could have done better.
