Review of Proof (2005) by Raquel R — 31 Jul 2008
If you take the original play script, you can basically follow along line for line by substituting all the f-words for "Jesus Christ".
I guess I was expecting it to be close to the script--but not that close.
Though the interpretations of the characters are spot on, this movie is not much of anything and leaves something to be desired. Jake Gyllenhaal's character "Hal" is sweet and genuine. Anthony Hopkins is a perfect Robert. Gwyneth Paltrow is very convincing.
But, if you don't see it, you're not missing much.
