Gotta say I have much more respect for Paltrow after this flick. She play brainy neurotic very VERY well. She is a very belivable and the best thing about the film. The interactions between her and her sister are good too.
Gyllenhaal and Hopkins didn't really need to show up and are pretty much just hollow and used to move the s-l-o-w plot along. Like most plays turned to movies there a bit too much talking and not enough let's keep moving.
A good rainy day rental that will keep you interested long enough to see it through.
