Review of Proof (1991) by Elizabeth H — 26 Mar 2009
A solid movie overall but with too much yelling and the usual unnecessary sex scene (PG-13 of course). As the story unfolded about the craziness of Anthony Hopkins' character, I was grateful that the movie didn't dwell on it much in the flashbacks.
I was skeptical about Jake Gyllenhaal but he was totally believable. If you can accept that the movie is more concept-driven than character-driven you'll probably appreciate it.
