What could be more ironic than to say of Ridley Scott that he lacks focus...

Prometheus tries to be stunningly visual, intriguingly clever,.

(SPOILER).

And a prequel to Alien, but only half delivers on all counts.

What a wasted opportunity. What on earth possessed Scott to add and append that perfect movie?

I can only imagine that a certain level of success can surround one with enough yes men to lose all perspective and judgement.

And for a director as powerful and wealthy as Ridley Scott to defer to wheeling out a safe formulaic ending is just a shame, and a waste of talent, and a waste of a fantastic opportunity for a really good prequel.
