Yes, this movie is saying something. I'll give it that. The scares and gross-outs work. The tension works. Noomi Rapace is still my favorite actress. But, for my money, you won't find a darker, colder, less hopeful piece of stark, sadistic cinema than this.
And, for all its aspirations to high-mindedness, Prometheus concludes like a horror cliche. Ridley Scott and Rob Zombie should play racquetball together.
