Review of Prometheus (2012) by Ozzdeath S — 08 Oct 2014
31 of 31 # 12 PROMETHEUS - I love this movie.
So after watching a few hideously flicks, I need a brain cleanser and watch something that is not only well directed, cinematography is ridiculously amazing, and it has a plot that makes for great post movie conversation about the origin of humanity and the big WHAT IF plus it has some awesome horror elements too.
You probably know this is the spiritual prequel to the Alien movies, it works perfectly as a stand alone movie if you never seen an Alien movie before.
I won't spoil a single thing about this movie because its sooo good, I have yet to meet a person with the same opinion about this movie, its meaning and the questions it raises, the movie does not give all the answers and it raises even more towards its final act but it is so perfectly done I can't wait to see if a sequel gets made.
Also Michael Fassbender completely steals the show as David, the android designed by Peter Weyland himself, he provides the true outside perspective to the human drama happening in front of him, looking at everything from a clinical and detached point of view, all of his lines are gold on this movie.
So this is a great alternative for your Halloween movie watching experience, it is sci-fi and it does contain horror but it will be an awesome visually entertaining movie that will get you to ask a question or two....or you could just say it flat out sucks and its stupid but there is a lot hidden in between this movie.
