Review of Prometheus (2012) by Jay B — 09 Oct 2015

My advice to you? Forget, at first, that you are watching a film that was heavily marketed as an Alien predecessor. Will you enjoy it as a stand alone sci-fi reel? I think so. It has a handful of sweet / cringe worthy moments that feel fresh and fun.

Don't expect a creature feature. That's where you will be saddened. The movie only offers a couple of real creature encounters. The acting is not ALL up to par... Elba and Green? Awesome. Pearce as Weyland? Retarded.

Theron? Not bad, but not needed. Almost feels like she is only there to offer the audience a familiar face. So in closing.... Prometheus is fun, but I can already guarantee you won't be getting what you're expecting.
