Review of Prometheus (2012) by Ethan M — 31 Dec 2015
More like "Plothole-eus"! When Ridley Scott promised a prequel to the groundbreaking film "Alien" I had insanely high expectations, too bad they were crushed by the film's end. There are SO many plot holes, cliched scenes, scenes and actions that don't make sense, and an overall disappointment.
Why did the guy with the map equipment get lost? Why did David kill that crew member for no reason? Why did that old guy pretend he was dead? Why and how did the characters get the funding for the trip on such flimsy evidence? How could Rapace sprint after having a C-section? Why was the guy who was scared of a dead alien body not scared by an alien cobra thing? And now, come to think of it, WHY WAS THIS FILM MADE?! There is no reason for this film to exist except to have the "Alien" series drop farther than it already has after the second film.
It may not be the worst film of all time, but just the total insult to the fan base earns it the low rating in my opinion. Shame on you Ridley Scott! Shame! On! You!
