Review of Prometheus (2012) by Jonathan W — 11 Mar 2015
This is one of the biggest cinematic disappointments of recent years. It's not terrible, but it's not even close to what it should have been. Most of the characters are flat and boring; the plot is completely incoherent; and the final act is just another formulaic "save the world" set piece.
On the plus side, the production design is excellent; all of the environments are grand and haunting. Michael Fassbender's performance as the android David is the film's single greatest saving grace.
