Review of Prometheus (2012) by Billy G — 24 May 2017

This was in many ways a very disappointing film. First I'll cover the positives: Scott's interest in taking the franchise in a different direction is admirable. I like the idea of exploring who and what the Space Jockey really is.

Visually the film is stunning. And Michael Fassbender steals the show as the android David. Now for the negatives: the script. There are too many characters, many of whom don't make a whole lot of sense in their motivations and actions.

I discovered a few deleted and alternate scenes that would've greatly improved this movie. However, I have to judge this based on the version I saw in theaters and sadly it was a disappointment, though certainly not as terrible as some claim it to be.

'Prometheus' is the definition of a mixed bag.
