Prometheus is not what alien fanboys want but it is a piece of alien universe. Wayland wants aliens but as alien queen of AVP is dead, they must find a way to obtain them. And the mission of prometheus is made to search a way to recreate xenomorphs.
So you can't see xenomorphs in prometheus, it is impossible. David is a new doctor moreau who try to find the recipe of xenomorphs and Peter Bishop thinks that David will find a tool to reach this objective on prometheus destination.
