This film is horrible. Simple as that. An absolute waste of time to watch. I am sure that the original movie was a lot more better than this garbage. They really should have planned this out more and tried harder to make an enjoyable film. I still can't get over that one part with the scarf. That's what really bugged me the most. Why in the world would she go back for a wrap when her life is in danger?
Someone compared this film to 1976's Carrie. Bullshit. This film can never match De Palma's Carrie and, besides, de Palma didn't feel like turning Carrie into a piece of shit like McCormick did with the original Prom Night.
Overall, this film was an embarassment to a genre which is basically dead in Hollywood. This film shows that they are just shitting on the corpse.
