This remake is not actually a remake at all; it has nothing at all in common with the 1980 version except for the title. And the fact that it is not very good.
Brittany Snow is an engaging actress with a thankless role, but she carries it off with aplomb and if this film engages the viewer at any time, then that is mostly to her credit.
