Disney seems to take less attention to their live action films, which is too bad. Their animated movies, like Tangled and Princess and the Frog, have been fantastic and have truly put their money where their mouth is, making huge profits for Disney, yeah, like they need any more money. But it is true that only Warner Brothers Pictures, mainly because of their Harry Potter films, is the only studio in their path. So, what has Disney got to be worried about if they have one or more films that don't have what other films have? Well, Paramount isn't too far behind, Universal will gain huge profits this weekend alone with a new Fast and the Furious movie, and other studios are on the rise, particularily Summit with their Twilight movies. So Disney, take more care with what you have, not just specific things.

And now, let's actually get to the movie. First off, I'd like to tell you about my high school prom. My junior year, I went and had a date, yes, but nothing too special happened, and that date went off to California, and I'm here in Kansas. So, I didn't go my senior year, mostly because I was about 200 miles away from home. But still, I don't find exactly what it is about Prom that makes girls so stressed that one night of their lives that is so impecible. As a man, I say my little girl, who is only six, doesn't even know what Prom is, which is good, for now. But anyways, the movie had nothing too special to offer, even to kids.

So, what is the point of this movie? I don't know. Maybe some kids who have not had Prom yet, the very few, will see this movie first and know what to expect, but guess what? Our local prom was the second week of April, so it's too late for most teens. So, maybe they could have released the film about two or three weeks ago, to get kids ready for Prom as well. So, really, it's way too little, too late. Overall, nothing new to offer to teens, and for adults, not too much a reminder of their own Prom all those years ago.
