Despite the noblest of intentions, Prom fails to be a satisfying coming-of-age dramedy due to too many clichà (C)s where mostly every character is a boring and tired cardboard cut-out stereotype. Itâ(TM)s a film with ambition, but no tension where almost nothing is at stake.
If you want an edgy prom movie, watch the first American Pie. If you want an unfulfilling innocuous Disney snore-fest, then Prom is the movie for you.
