As far as trash-teen movies go, this is NOT one, it's got a message, actually several. Nothing in Prom that a parent would object to a pre-teen or young teen seeing - no allusions to sex, no bad language, and several concurrently running characters/stories.
Too bad it's not in many theatres. Good to rent on Netflix tho !
