Project X is less a comedy than it is a satirical social mockumentary. This film doesn't over or undersell itself: it is a movie about the most epic, life changing high school house party ever. There are no LOL moments but there is a ton of shock and awe at the idiocy of today's youth.
The vision is superbly delivered, but unfortunately one day we'll look back and find that this time capsule is empty. Crude, misogynistic, and depraved, but all with looking-glass purpose. Watch Project X to see its epic party, not to see an epic movie.
