A powerful and exceptional story that pulls you through the emotional wringer. Oscar winner James Marsh's latest doco feels like a balanced look at the life of Nim, a chimp who was taught to learn and use sign language - with varying degrees of success.
All the major players in Nim's life have their say, and its a journey filled with much pain, joy, anguish and compassion. Although Nim is the central subject, this is really a study of human nature at its very best and worst.
