Review of Project Almanac (2015) by Nathan D — 31 Jan 2015
I was pleasantly surprised. I really liked the movie. While the plot wasn't unique in any way, I thought it was fairly well done. However, I was definitely bothered by the relentless "over use" of the amateurish video footage shot by the characters in the movie.
The relentless shaking and dizzying movements of the home-made video footage used through out the movie was definitely nauseating and a major pitfall of the movie. While I'm sure the director was attempting to add a dramatic home spun feeling to the movie, the relentless over use of amateurishly shot video footage was an extreme distraction to viewing the movie.
This movie is definitely not for those that are prone to motion sickness.
