Review of Project Almanac (2015) by Matthew H — 05 Feb 2015
It's never boring, but it's also never original. It reminded me constantly of a better teenager found footage film, CHRONICLE, but without the depth, character or vision. And at one point it tries to elevate its status by referencing the vastly superior LOOPER, to no avail.
This is a rambling, brainless time travel movie that you are 10 steps ahead of at any given moment. It's an MTV film, and made for 14-year-olds, so I can't hate it. But I'd rather it never happened.
