Review of Project Almanac (2015) by Matt M — 09 Feb 2015
Well that was better than I expected. It had so many red flags that I noticed before going into this. The main three being, teenage actors, found-footage, and, sketchiest of all, MICHAEL BAY! With that, special effects/explosions were confirmed to be good, but the rest I wasn't sure about.
But I was dead-set on attempting to see more movies, of all types. Thus, here we are. To my surprise, it was good, overcoming said red flags. Does it have it's flaws? Naturally. But in the grand scheme of things, they were pretty minor.
And please, throw all logic out the window! Everything you know is wrong, and what's on screen is right. Don't fight it, embrace it. It's a lot more enjoyable that way, and makes for a fun time.
For once, we have a coherent time-travel movie, that's also good.
