Review of Project Almanac (2015) by Steve A — 02 Feb 2015
Horribly filmed hand-held camera style movie!! I love watching movies and attend them at least once per week. I rarely have bad things to say about any film as I normally find some entertainment value in all films.
But... this director must think shooting 100% of a 2-hour movie on a hand-held camera was "artistic". HORRIBLE. This hand-held junk has been done in some films with good affect, but this film was nauseating - literally.
I got such a headache trying to follow the bouncing, shaky, sideways, filming that I had to look away for about 25% of the film. This film is very similar to The Butterfly Effect, which I enjoyed, but whatever entertainment value that might have been in the film was obliterated by this horrid style of filming.
