Review of Project A (1983) by Jake V — 05 May 2008
This may not be on most martial-arts fans favourites, but I firmly believe that this is only because it under the radar in its popularity.
A mix of cheesy music, easy humour and impressive action scenes make this worth watching. Jackie Chan is excellent as the Coastguard member, who at this point in his career can effectively mix action and laughs together.
The story about finding and killing the pirates is simple enough, but there are many side-stories like getting browine points over the police and Fei (awesomely done by Sammo Hung) double crossing everyone he sees!
To switch your brain off to, this is great. Unwind and have a laugh, and see the impressive clock-tower jump for yourself as well.
