Upsides: a type of love story that seldom gets told, great costumes, engaging performances, and interesting camera work. The movie makes you realize how almost every love scene ever filmed depends on there being only two people on screen.
Downsides: a bit preachy, and the characters could have been more developed--we see how they discover and act on their desires, but we could know more about what motivates the two heroines.
