Review of Problem Child 2 (1991) by Johnny T — 10 Oct 2011
Surprisingly, better and funnier than the first! Better than the original. Hilarious hijynks including the best vomit scene ever! The sets and costumes are colorfully outrageous, and the cast includes various worthwhile comic actors who with any luck will find better material in their futures. Mr. Ritter remains adept at mustering sappy nice-guy excuses for the behavior of the obnoxious, not very winsome Junior; Jack Warden is the film's funniest straight man as Junior's grandfather, who is thrown out a window by his grandson and who is also yanked off the top of a bunk bed.
VERDICT: "Matinée" - (Mixed reaction). These kinds of movies are usually movies that had some good things, but some bad things kept it from being amazing. This rating says to pay matinée prices to see at a theatre, buy an ex-rental or a cheap price of the DVD to own.
