The woman in the lavender dress.
Charley Partanna is a fast rising mafia family member who is single until he meets the woman of his dreams at a wedding. He begins dating the woman and they quickly marry. He discovers that the woman is a professional assassin that has killed many men he knows. When her most recent mission strikes a chord in the family, Charlie will need to decide whether to stay with his new love or honor his family's desires.
"The calendar takes care of everything.".
John Huston, director of Under the Volcano, Annie (1984), The Man who would be King, Casino Royale (1966), The Misfits, Unforgiven (1960), Moulin Rouge (1951), The African Queen, and The Asphalt Jungle, delivers Prizzi's Honor. The storyline for this picture is well delivered and unpredictable. The plot is fascinating and the characters are well presented. The cast delivers outstanding performances and the cast includes Jack Nicholson, Kathleen Turner, Anjelica Houston, and William Hickey.
"Dominique hires my own wife to clip me?".
I have been watching as many Nicholson pictures as possible and was surprised when I came across this film and had never heard of it. This movie was well presented and told an intricate and compelling story. This movie is definitely worthwhile and unique to the gangster genre. This movie was War of the Roses meets the Godfather. I do strongly recommend seeing this film as Turner and Nicholson deliver outstanding performances.
"She had to go away. She won't be back.".
