Review of Private Parts (1997) by Hami K — 30 Sep 2007
Howard Stern is a brilliant man, love him or hate him. I find the guy hilarious, so it's easy for me to appreciate this film. Those who turn their backs on Stern's material will most likely turn their backs on this movie as well.
Aside from the laughs, you get to see how much he really did struggle to get to where he is, with both himself and the assholes he had to deal with along the way. PIG VOMIT. Speaking of Pig Vomit, Paul Giamatti was excellent.
He was definitely a highlight of the movie, not very often can you say that about an antagonist. Although, it took a little bit longer to take off than I had anticipated (with due respect, this IS about a real person's actual life, so this probably was unavoidable).
Once Stern was on his feet, so was the story... and I was laughing my ass off.
