Review of Private Parts (1997) by Mitchell B — 30 Jan 2011
Most people have a bad hair day. Howard Stern had a bad hair life.
You've got to appreciate someone who can play themselves in their own autobiography and not come off as vain and narcissistic... even though that's exactly what Stern's persona is... I mean look at that DVD cover! But Stern's rise to stardom is told with with equal parts humour and humility, despite his bombastic showmanship. There is still enough reality in his performance that you can root for him as the underdog, even if you may dislike his current (or at least recent) celebrity status.
