I've never read the book this was adapted from but Private Parts is essentially the life story of radio show comedian Howard Stern. The film is enjoyable, surreal, and humorous, also not an overdone and exaggerated make believe story. Stern does a great job channeling in his former self.

The life story of radio show host and comedian Howard Stern is told from his childhood to 1997, where he covers the many radio stations he moved city to city from, his cohosts who assist him, his verbally cruel bosses, and his family life.

Private Parts is unique in that it's a biopic of a comedian that at the time was still rising to fame. It works as a good biopic and an entertaining and humorous one, Stern does a great job as well as Paul Giamatti, who plays Stern's pissed off boss at WNBC who berated him and attempts to censor his radio show heavily. Private Parts simply works together well in all elements.
