Review of Private Benjamin (1980) by Samantha S — 27 Jul 2009
I like the beginning - it's pretty funny - but when she runs off and has a romance with mega-controlling Armand Assante, I just didn't get it. She had finally become her own woman and threw it all away for a skunk of a Frenchman.
At the end, she's not with him and she's no longer in the Army, so where does that leave her? Just didn't work for me.
