Review of Private Benjamin (1980) by Al P — 28 May 2010
Though she's not a divorcee here, this is yet another Hawn role where she is formerly married - to a lawyer, of course. Despite the overly ambitious scope, this is one of her better vehicles. There's a decent message, a then-original plot and the concept is ripe for comedy.
Though the movie misses as often as it hits, Hawn still commands attention despite her annoying tendency to pick terrible men. Worth a watch, but could afford to be shorter and a bit punchier.
