Review of Prisoners (2013) by Eugene K — 04 Jun 2014
This is an excellent thriller. A well thought out script full of drama and action and suspense. Hugh Jackman pulls off the role of a grief-stricken father just wonderfully as well as Jake Gyllenhaal as the cop constantly trying to track the kidnapper down while at the same time trying to keep his eyes on Hugh Jackman's character who is oddly rarely at home.
Great movie, great cast, would recommend it to anybody who's into thrillers, action films or suspense films. And to those who say that this movie is a rip-off of Taken... watch both movies and you tell me what exactly is pulled from Taken other than the dad trying to find his daughter.
