I've said it before, and I'll say it again, any movie would be better without Melissa Leo. I don't care if the character is Melissa Leo, it would be better played by someone else. She did OK in this, but a pregnant squirrel on meth could have done it better.
Contrary to popular opinion, I'm not a fan of Melissa Leo. This is a pretty fun film. We have suspense and a wee taste of torture, a smidge of gore and a plethora of snakes. Neato! At two and a half hours, the length is awesome.
My biggest complaint is Jake's performance. He didn't just mail it in, he sent it across the country on a mule. Shame shame, Jake, minus a half star!
