Review of Prisoners (2013) by Abs 7 — 04 Aug 2014
Most vital part of any movie is its story and how that story moves around, how it evolves and takes its viewer along it. This so called thriller movie is actually no thriller but damn slow piece of shooting which tries to keeps viewer unaware of what is happening. Nice acting by Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal but what is use of it if there are so many loophopes and useless scenes present.
Can writter Aaron Guzikowski answer these question:
1. Why Alex Jones and Bob Tayler don't tell the truth to Police.
2. What Bob Tayler is afraid of that he kills himself?
3. What was purpose of mazes and snakes in movie.
4. When both of them say that the kidnapped girls are in Maze, what kind of maze it is? I see girls are simply hidden in Holly's house. What is purpose of maze here, to make viewer fool?
5. If Alex is first suspect, why police has not searched his aunt's, jolly's, house at first place? Police reached to the stage of publishing another suspects sketch, but they simply could not thoroughly search first victims house?
5. Why and how Officer Loki enter in Father's house? ( I mean why not other houses). I hoped he could have searched Holly house better and ended this shit at the start itself.
4 star for acting and -3 star for story.
