Exquisite rendition of a complex and dreadful reality. The way Hugh Jackman reacts, the volcano of emotions he shows throughout the plot, his impulsive violence lead to one of his greatest roles ever. Jake Gyllenhall is, again, bloody great, with his calm, Type B laid back attitude to solve the mystery, decomposing every scene and searching through the overwhelming horror that awaits.
Howard delivers an impressive over-emotional and powerless role, drawn to desperation and sorrow more than courage and hope to find his daughter.
