Review of Princess Mononoke (1997) by Ninetailkitsune — 01 Apr 2018
This film has a variety of complex themes (which are intertwined in their own way), yet you never feel overwhelmed. It creates it own world in which the plot takes place. The plot is the human vs. nature type of story.
However, it shows both sides of the story and is left to the bias of the viewer to decide which side they're on rather than forcing you to take nature's side which is something a lot of those movies do.
It has great voice acting and the animation is stunning. It is very inventive and subtle and never fails to amaze. This film is highly recommended.
