Review of Prince: Sign 'o' the Times (1987) by George I — 13 Jun 2014
Oddly, three of the best songs from the Sign O' The Times album (and among my favorite Prince songs), Adore, The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker, and Starfish And Coffee were not included in this concert film.
Two of them probably did not fit his narrative ambitions for the film, but none were played live for the albums tour, if I recall correctly. The addition of the music video for U Got The Look was also weird, as it looked like crap on film, and not very well on this DVD release by Alliance Atlantis, which is otherwise fantastic.
