Review of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010) by Abel D — 27 Jun 2014

Leaner than most entries in the 'Pirates' series, 'Sands of Time' is an enjoyable romp, if a little flairless. The action is sizeable, but not especially inventive, and the narrative feels more like a checklist of adventure cliches with a deus-ex machina for good measure.

Still, it comes armed with a top-notch cast, with Gyllenhal making for a charming matinee idol, getting some while Molina makes for a number of funny moments with his Sparrow-meets-weasly dealer personage.
